We believe that the strength of a community is directly affected by the health of the individuals who live within them. With better access to health care, an individual’s overall health and well-being is drastically improved and they are better able to work, study and provide for their family. In turn, the local economy benefits from a more productive labour force and a community better able to educate, plan and build its resources. In short, the Foundation believes that access to basic medical care is key to empowering people and communities. With effective intervention, the debilitating effects of poor or no medical attention can be reduced and potentially eliminated.
